Stage Experience

I really love performing on stage. In high school, no holiday was held without me :) My friends and I constantly staged dances and performed with them. So, I want to tell you about some of the most memorable events.

Firstly, when I was in the tenth grade, in that year it was the anniversary of COD («ЦОД») – it turned 20 years old. It was a big holiday and we celebrated it in the Sormovo Community Center. In the first two photos you can see the waltz, as well as me :) This waltz received a lot of applause, people came up to us after the event and thanked us for the beautiful dance. The hall was completely filled with teachers and students, it was an incredible event.

Secondly, our legendary gypsy dance. For the first time we presented it at the graduation of our seniors in the same Community Center

Note: in COD, ten-grade students call eleven-grade students as «seniors», and eleven-grade students call ten-grade students as «juniors».

In the future, everyone liked this dance so much that we performed it three more times. On the photos presented, we performed in the hall of the school. Interesting fact: Boris Andreevich Zhigalyov was present in the hall at that moment, he was sitting in the first row, but then I didn’t know that he was my future teacher :)

And finally, my favorite performance is graduation. Besides dancing, I was one of the many hosts of our graduation with my good friend. My hands were shaking when I was giving my lines, but everything went fine.

At the end, we performed a waltz that ended the graduation. We came up with it ourselves, rehearsed for six months, and it was a success!!! Everything was still taking place in the Community Center, where there were a lot of people, but it was an incredible feeling! Adrenaline and happiness in one!
