“You know what they say about hope. It breeds eternal misery”

Why is hope a misery? I was thinking about this question for a very long time. But firstly we need to understand what hope is. Hope is the belief that circumstances in the future will be better. At least every person wants to them to be better. But will they? It is another question that people ask themselves.

For me, hope is the belief in something that most likely won’t come true. A person can only hope in the power of something or someone to help them. I think so because what will come true is the goal.

So why is this misery? Usually people believe and hope in the fulfillment of this or that desire. But more often the wish doesn’t come true and people are disappointed and sad. For me, hope is suffering because you wish hard for something, believe in the fulfillment of a dream, but you don’t get it.
